FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Below are answers to frequently answered questions

1. Can I use CF to make international calls?

Yes. CF automates your call by acting as a PA but the call itself is made in the normal way - the telephone system knows no different.

2. What if the call is answered with an answering machine?

This question has two answers depending on whether we are talking about mobiles or landlines -

Mobile Voice Mail
Your message is repeated three times for short messages (under 15 seconds) and twice for long messages (over 15 seconds);
We have carefully researched voice mail response times so that even with the longest known recorded message (22 seconds on T-Mobile) so long as your message exceeds 5 seconds the machine will still record one full version of the message you send plus your name.

Note - The exception to this is where a person has recorded their own message which is more extensive (see below).

Landline Answering Machine
Most people record a short message on their land phones. So long as this does not exceed 22 seconds the above mobile logic applies. However, if you happen to know someone who likes to play the first movement of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony before recording your call then your message won’t be recorded. Our view is that such people waste everyone’s time and money and don’t deserve a message.

3. What length can a CF message be?

A CF message can be any length up to 5 minutes. Related to the issue of answering machines our configuration assumes your message will be a minimum of 5 seconds.

4. How Much Does a CallFlash Message Cost?

A CF message costs the same as a normal call based on the length of the message; In other words a 1 minute message costs the same as a 1 minute call. The only additional cost to a CF call is the few extra seconds during which the fixed intro message tells the called party who is calling etc.
